Nationalized Health Care Is Like Pulling Teeth -- Your Own

The British have had a nationalized health care system for decades, and almost as long a list of examples why it doesn't work. Three years ago, we discovered that hospitals in the UK threw out viable kidneys for lack of physicians qualified to transplant them. Now we find out that a shortage of dentists has led Britons to perform free-lance extractions to avoid an excruciating wait:

A shortage of National Health Service dentists in England has led some people to pull out their own teeth — or use super glue to stick crowns back on, a study says.
Many dentists abandoned Britain's publicly funded health care system after reforms backfired, leaving a growing number of Britons without access to affordable care.

"I was not surprised to hear those horror stories," said Celestine Bridgeman, 41, of London. "Trying to find good NHS dentists is like trying to hit the lottery because the service is underfunded."

The National Health Service provides care to the vast majority of Britain's people, often for free. Unlike doctors who work for the health service, dentists work on a contract basis and can leave whenever they wish.


The situation shows what happens when government crowds out the private market, even when it allows some private participation. Most Britons, whose tax dollars fund the NHS, cannot afford to add private dental services on top of the burden. Thanks to so-called reforms, almost half of Britain's dentists won't take NHS patients, and the rest have either long waits or work too far away from the patients who need them.

In a free market, the compensation for dentists would be set by market forces. Shortages would not long exist, because any shortage would make dental services more valuable and would incentivize more students to pursue that specialty. As with the transplant surgeons, shortages occur because government caps compensation and removes the incentive to specialize at all -- and with dentists, who can opt out of the NHS system unlike their physician colleagues, the private market becomes exclusive to only those who can afford both the tax burden of NHS and the fees for dental work.

What happens then? The rich get dental work. The poor buy pliers and Super Glue. Actually, I could be wrong. The poor might borrow the pliers.

Six percent of the survey sample treated themselves out of frustration, including one man who extracted 14 of his own teeth. Twenty percent of the sample could not afford dental services. An additional 35% blamed their lack of dental care on a lack of NHS options close enough to them. That means a majority of Britons have no practical access to dental care, thanks to their government-run health care system.

Nationalized Healthcare And Socialism. What A Bargain!!


Ladies and Gentleman of the United States of America.

By that I mean the Real and True ladies and gentlemen of America.

For those of you who are absolutely convinced or maybe not sure of the United States of America NOT being a socialist country, then I refer you to a website I just found.

The website describes with complete certainty and overwhelming facts, that this current administrative blunder better known as the OB method or Obama and Biden, have driven us headfirst into a Socialist Wall.

Conservativesforpatientsrights.com has given me an even greater perspective on nationalized health care and why it is not only doomed to failure, but it causes each and every Real and True American to give up their rights as American citizens.

Two or three months ago, I wrote a blog titled “National Healthcare Reform. Say Again”? If you haven’t read it, please, go check it out. Anyway, it was just a normal “I’m pissed off at Obama and his socialist venture” blog about Kathleen Sebelius being nominated as Health and Human Services czar and basically how nationalized healthcare will be the final nail in Americas coffin.

For those of you who have read my blogs, you should know that I don’t refer to polls, statistics or multiple choice scenarios. I just work with facts and truth based upon research and common sense. Also, you should know that I do not refer to websites as some websites tend to change just one word of an actual story making a reference seem wrong or fraudulent. I believe that if one seeks the truth based upon fact and not false verbiage, then they who look for answers should research on their own so as to have a better understanding of the actual event or issue in question.

However, this is one website America MUST SEE…

So there I am flipping through the internet and local media and I stumble upon this website I referenced above, the conservatives for patients rights thing.

At first glance I thought it was one of those “get your free insurance quotes here” sites. Not that I was looking, but was I wrong!!

It was a site I had been waiting and hoping for. Finally, the TRUE facts and misconceptions on healthcare reform are now LIVE and ACTIVE. The pursuit of healthcare truth is beginning to crown. Obama and his cast of idiots will soon be running around bowlegged.

Michael Moore is probably sweating so much now, that his loss of weight might just be that opening he needs to make it as a Chippendale. The lying and deceitful zit that he is. You remember Moore. He is the ANTI EVERYTHING AMERICAN chunk of lard.

Moore and Obama have been very vocal to the point that if healthcare reform did rear it’s ugly head and folks believed in it or I should say, were brainwashed, they would have cheered for a very expensive AND deadly government run insurance “agenda”. That’s right, deadly.

An example of government run health care is the Veterans Administration. The VA is like being in a war all over again and to many veterans both young and old, the VA system does not make the list of favorite things to talk about. In fact, if you scan the internet for VA related issues or go to veteran related websites, you will find an average grade for the VA to be about an “F”. Yes, “F”.

*****Note***** The VA prides itself on being a bureaucratic thug and in many more ways than just one.

Did you know and unless you are a veteran you probably wouldn’t, but did you know that the VA is LAWSUIT PROOF? Did you know that no matter how WRONG they were or are depending on it’s history, they will look you in the face and make comments like “Go To Your Congressman, No Matter What He/She Says Or Does, We (the VA) Are RIGHT and They Can’t Change What We Do Or Have Done”.

A VA favorite of mine is “Our Decision Is Final”. An appeal process only adds salt to the wound. So as we do in the military, We Suck It Up.. What alternatives do we have?

NONE!!!!!

Soldiers never ask for anything only what has been promised, no more no less. Soldiers do what most have not the courage to do!!!! Yet, veterans get treated as if they were Americas enemy.

ILLEGALS GET BETTER TREATMENT THAN VETERANS!!! Take that to the bank!!! But not Bank of America.

So imagine if you will, a civilian system like the VA. Is that what you really want? You are just everyday civilians and AMERICAS FINEST get treated piss poorly, imagine the pain and suffering civilians would have to go through.

That old saying “You Get What You Pay For” is going to be an echo that will cause you many a headache, literally!!!!!

The ones who are looking for government run health care are illegal, are dependent on the government already, don’t feel that they have to work for it, work for a company that is just plain greedy (small business excluded) or are just gullible puppets of the liberal tyranny.

Small business gets robbed as well. I do believe that small business IS America and for that they should be right up there with Americas veterans as far as dignity and prosperity.

With all due respect to the many Americans who lost their jobs through lay offs or business closure, take heed and listen up:

If you lost your job due to layoff and your company said they were downsizing, I’d lay bets that foreigners took your job at a much cheaper salary while STEALING your family medical insurance. Now this may not be the case for some families but know this, it IS happening.

Between American companies thriving on greed and the almighty buck and the H-1B visa program for foreigners to America, it’s no wonder health insurance is lacking.

When insurance companies second guess a doctors decision to give his patient a bandaid, that is what I call the insurance industry’s version of the Kevorkian method. All risk, no concern.. The big to do about health insurance is based on a few things all of which are components of a political matriculation designed to mandate whether you live healthy or suffer. There are countries who have this “universal healthcare” thing and it has failed. The Veterans Administration is THEE prime example of government run healthcare.

6 – 12 months wait for an appointment.

An average of 1 – 3 hours wait time for the actual appointment upon arrival.

Medical malpractice is very common as was recently proven with botched and failed colonoscopies.

This is government run healthcare!!!!

Here is a current and true example of what will happen to you if you challenge the US government:

A veteran of the United States of America Armed Forces was imprisoned because he filed an appeal with the Veterans Administration. His name is Keith Roberts. Research it people. A classic case of “we, the VA are right and Mr. Roberts is wrong and a liar”.

How about those idiots that go to Mexico to get cheaper medication and probably in receipt of illegal meds. The reason: prescriptions are cheaper. Well go figure, it’s Mexico!! I wouldn’t trust a candy bar from Mexico to fulfill my sugar fix!! Hell, I wouldn’t even want to breathe down there..

There are 14 million illegals in the United States. Do you here them complaining about medical care?

No!!

Why?

Because they get if for FREE!!!

At taxpayers expense!!

Don’t be fooled..

Senior citizens and retired folks have to fight tooth and nail to get social security and medicare.These are our grandparents and parents who have EARNED their way yet are treated as a burden.

THESE ARE AMERICANS!! Our very own!!

Yet they suffer and agonize over their living standards based on the inept government run system that arbitrarily sacrifices quality for political intent and bureaucracy.

How can “affordable” government run healthcare be a quickfix when the current insurance industry has but two problems.

First problem – the insurance industry picks and chooses it’s clients and corresponding health issues.

Insurance companies are now finding themselves in more legal actions and litigation, than ever before. At some point, they will have to realize or be forced to realize that they are not medical professionals and they are not qualified to dictate what a patient needs or doesn’t need. They cannot call the genie out of the bottle to say whether or not a pre existing health issue actually existed or not.

Second problem – the insurance industry packs a very thick wallet by virtue of charging outrageous fees thus creating the need for doctors to add fees because they are being charged heavily by the insurance companies therefore emptying the wallets of patients.

Both problems need some restructuring but not by way of government schematics. This is not an issue that requires scientific research only common sense, moral and ethical values.

Drug companies represent yet another issue in the healthcare debate.

They are getting slammed for their high prices. Why?

The truth of the matter is that a second and third middleman exists between the drug companies and the patient. They are the doctor, drug store/local pharmacy and the insurance company.

The cost of prescriptions are not mandated by pharmaceutical companies but by the middleman and his need for profit. Sure, the prices can be lowered but when greed takes over you can forget about it.

Again, the government IS NOT the bandaid for this issue, if anything, they will be the difference between life and death. Not a good thing!

The makers of drugs like Pfeizer have done what the insurance industry has failed to do and that is to comply with the moral and ethical requirements of Americans. They have offered deep discounts and in some cases free medicines/drugs to patients.

Guess what? OMG!! (I like that Oh My God OMG slang it is soooo thilly).

Imagine the US government taking over the drug companies. That would be “loopy” at best.

Don’t think for a minute this is not on a desk in the White House somewhere. It is!! Time will tell.

Congress is trying so hard to PUSH at lightening speeds, a healthcare reform package deal, without regard to the facts including the expense and burdens on the taxpayer. One would think that while Congress is talking about how much it will cost is in itself a red flag. They are putting a dollar value on the lives of Americans yet again bypassing the moral and ethical values Americans cherish..

Congress: “We’ll give 1.6 trillion over ten years” while others are saying ” “No, only 1 trillion dollars over 10 years”. If it was that important, why wasn’t this same argument for dollars used in the bailout fiasco?

Again, the middle class Americans take it right up the ass..

The United States government has already taken over the banking industry and the auto industry. Now they are converging on the health insurance industry.

Facts:

They WILL raise taxes.

They WILL dictate your health.

They WILL pass your information on to foreign and domestic data bases.

They WILL NOT allow you CHOICE.

They WILL tax your government health insurance. INEVITABLE!!

They WILL use the US CONSTITUTION AND the BILL OF RIGHTS against you citing government concern for it’s citizens.

They WILL force the loss of many jobs and small business owners to collapse under the pressure of more tax and tax on tax.
Before any of this happens, it would be in the best interest of the United States to begin IMPEACHMENT proceedings. Never has any presidency been so covert and sneaky to the point that Americans themselves are now wondering about security from within our own government..

Get rid of this piece of human inconvenience now!!!! He is not worth it!!!

When states like Alabama are firing teachers only to go searching for replacement teachers in the Phillipines, you know something is terribly wrong and NOT SO AMERICAN.

That is the United States government supporting such an agenda that forces the hand of health insurance. Firing AMERICAN teachers and taking away their insurance for their family is a Socialist move, is it not? Yes, it is a decision made at the Alabama state and local levels but doesn’t the federal government have a hand in education by way of “no child left behind” and federal education grants?

Health insurance can be cross referenced and interfaced with many American issues simultaneously.
