did you know that britains health care system is so good that it is not only free, but they have a casheer who instead of money going in, the money goes out. get this comrades, they pay you back for the money it cost you to get there!!!!! why dont we havbe that!?

In Russia healthcare is free. You get paid how much it cost you to get to the hospital, which is essential in Russia because alot of Russia hospitals aren't very modern, so you often have to travel quite a distance to go to a decent, up-to-date one.

Sure. If it was not for the fact that the government is in control, that they choose who lives and who dies, that our country CANNOT AFFORD any part of this plan, then sure, it is a great idea.

They can afford to have a higher military budget than any other country in the world and they cannot afford to have the healthcare system that most of Europe has?

The health insurance companies do not choose who lives and who dies. In that case, it would be the doctors or the patients themselves.
There have been many documented cases where patients have died because the government deemed them a drain on society and refused to allow doctors to give patients life-saving surgery. Also, once a patient has used up his ration of health credits, the doctors are no longer allowed to work with them.
I have more faith in the greed of the health insurance companies than in the corrupt powerseekers in Washington.
AT LEAST THE INSURANCE COMPANIES CAN BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE IF THEY REFUSE TO PROVIDE COVERAGE.

There have been many more cases where an insured patient is refused coverage. So they go untreated or pay a huge bill they cannot afford? That is control.

America is a free country. So why are the politicians not letting the people decide if they want universal healthcare or not?
It is because the American people do not want this catastrophic system! If the politicians were really concerned about making us happy, then they would not be pushing this so hard. IT IS AN ESTABLISHED FACT THAT THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS HATE IT*.
The only reason that this plan keeps being pushed and shoved down our throats is due to the political agendas of both Liberal (read socialist) Republicans and Liberal Democrats

What is government for? Well in the Soviet Union it was to expand the influence of the nation, it was to keep the people in servitude, it was to build up the power of a single man and political system.
In America the government is responsible for two things:

Keep America free by defending us from invaders.

Keep law and order by cracking down on gangs, illegal immigrants, and crime in general

That, my friend, is what the American constitutional government is responsible for. THAT AND ONLY THAT! You show me a passage in the Constitution where it says that the government is responsible for healthcare, shutting down the private sector, and where the President is able to give unauthorized powers to his "Czars", and I will publically apoligize.

Oh, and speaking of healthcare, I just read that "Obama claims his health effort will not dig the nation deeper into debt and over time will help reduce deficits. He has vowed to not sign any health bill that raises deficits."

Ha! Just like he vowed that he would not raise taxes "one nickel" It is impossible for the deficit not to be raised by the government paying for healthcare. Especially since the deficit has already exceeded one trillion dollars.
